My computer is stilling being a pill. I will be back when I can but for now life is a bit hectic. There was quite a bit of flooding in my neighborhood. Praise God that my house did not get hit by the flood waters. The flooding is caused by the fire that happened a few weeks back. The fire burned all the ground covering and trees that would normally hold back all this water. So till life is a back to its normal hectic-ness I will not be very active here on this blog. My computer’s video card is having issues because my Mac is an older generation..the kind that leaves burns on your legs temp wise. It is still an amazing computer it just will be a bit till it is fixed and refreshed. So for now I will deal with its temperament and try to be a bit more patient with its aging. All this to say it is not liking loading pictures so there is obviously still a delay in the camping pictures. I am going to use D’s computer to load them all its just finding the time to do that. When he is home he uses it for work and he takes it to work and I cannot justify borrowing it from him to just upload pics.

In other news we have been working quite a bit on something that I will introduce in August. I am quite excited. Some of you know already and others well…my apologies but you have to wait. I want a few things in order before it is introduced.

The weather has been gorgeous. It started raining over the weekend. I really wish it would pour during the day though more so we could go out and play in it. Well I have a ton of things to do today. It’s Mase’s last day of kindercamp. We have a celebration at the school for tonight and tomorrow the sweet boy gets shots (so he can go to school). I hope the day is treating you all well.

So it looks like I went out of my mind today and am going crazy productive. It started at about 7:30 when I went weed whacking in my yard. I didn’t start the real whacker till 8 because that would have been rude to start before than. So I chopped the trees a bit and raked and whacked weeds and did that for about an hour. I then was shaky and thought the productivity was done for the day. After a shower and hanging out with the girls I remembered I forgot to put my tools of the morning away. I would have left them but the clouds were looking rain filled and I did not want to take a chance. One look at the garage I realized it needed some organizing and cleaning. Two hours later I have half of it done. It was filthy when we moved in and we haven’t really had the chance to clean it out and spray for bugs. All this to say that yesterdays talk of a post today is going to be postponed once again because wonderful productivity has taken its place. I hope you are all enjoying your day. Taking time today to recover from the amazing weekend we had. We celebrated the 4th without fireworks (due to all the fires lately out here and all). We did however go camping as a family for the first time. It was my first time tent camping. As a teenager I camped with friends but we either slept in the bed of the trucks or mostly we slept on sleeping bags near the fire. Dan tent camped as a kid a few times and for the most part his family camped in a trailer. We really enjoyed it. My parents had a trailer so we did have some of the kids in the trailer with them. Anyways, I am washing all the camp clothes and like I said recovering from the amazing weekend. So I will post pictures and give the full weekend story a post maybe tomorrow. I hope you all had an amazing 4th!

I think my biggest problem about posting my art or creations….or really the only thing stopping me is not the criticism I will get. Not what people think of it. Though I do like to hear what people think. Anyway, what I am getting at is it bothers me when someone takes another persons idea and takes credit for it. I try to always give credit where credit is due. If I was inspired by someone else’s art or creations I always try to give a link or give that person more credit than I give myself.

I have had friends in the past who have taken my ideas and made them their own. Then they take full credit for coming up with it when showing me. This has bugged me since I was a kid. I have learned though that it should be more flattering than frustrating, that people like what I do so much that they go and imitate my art.

The book So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld really says exactly what I cannot put into words. It is a story that follows a “Cool Hunter” and his job as that. He is always on the look out for “Innovators”. Innovators are exactly that they come up with these designs or styles and it is his job as a “Cool Hunter” to mainstream it and make it cool. This book helped me realize that my creations when copied by people is a compliment. I need to always look at it that way. Ignore that there are people out there that don’t know the proper etiquette of citing ones sources and just be me.

So just remember when you are online and see something you know you can make yourself, that someone took a lot of time and energy coming up with it. Yes you can make it yourself and maybe better in your mind but at least source your inspiration.

Well my computer is on the fritz as of late so blogging will be low.

Ok first my apologies for the largeness of the pictures. Chalk it up to sheer silly me not checking till I had inserted them all to see if they were small enough. Next time I will pay more attention. So this challenge is just to inspire you to try something new. I find myself going the easy route most mornings. You know tshirt jeans hair pulled back and rarely makeup. My goal is to just take the time to not look a mess. Start simple. If there is a style out there that you love but don’t think you can pull of I say try it. You won’t know till you have tried. Or if you want to wear skirts more put a limit on how many days you wear pants. Summer time is the greatest time for this because it is so hot.

So I think for the next few weeks I will post some inspiring wardrobe remixes from flickr to kind of give you all an idea of what I am talking about. It also helps you to mix and match a bit more than you do already and maybe use some things you haven’t in a long time.

Starting tomorrow I will start posting wardrobe inspiration. I hope the day is treating you all well. The fire is still blazing across the mountains and we are thanking God it’s not taken anyone’s home.

Awhile back I did a wardrobe challenge with my Wysk. Today I was thinking about how I have been slacking. Especially during the winter when it was so flippin cold and easy to just wear jeans and a sweatshirt. Now that its warmer I was looking at my clothes and thinking how there are some things I have yet to wear and things I need to change up.

So I am here asking you my dear readers (I know you are there I see you lurking about daily) if you would like to join me in a challenge to spice up your daily life. Stay at home all day long with no one to see you? Or are you a stay at home mom like me and have found yourself not trying hard to look decent? Ever have someone come to the door and you are rushing to take a quick look in the mirror to make sure you are not too haggard looking? Yea me either hahaha. Ok so if anyone is interested comment here and I will put a start/finish date on it and we can go from there.

So let me know by Thrusday night and Friday morning/afternoon I will post some more details. Come on you know it would be a lot of fun and it’s free it doesn’t get better than that!
